Ragi fudge/nachniche satva

Ragi Fudge...I make this  healthy treat once in  week  ,as we all know that,Ragi is rich in minerals like thiamine, calcium and iron.Ragi is also rich in carbohydrates, and low in fat, and hence helps in reducing obesity.
Regular use of ragi protects from malnutrition, degenerative diseases and premature aging.I gave a twist to this  adding cashew n almond powder a bit, so it can be enjoyed as  a fudge..Happie Holi to all😊





Time : 25 min

Ingredients:
1 cup Ragi
2 cups jaggery( as per your sweet tooth)
1 coconut grated( small )
Water 1½ cup
½ tsp cardamom powder
Homemade ghee 2 tsp
1 tsp cashew nuts powder+ few for garnishing
1 tsp almond powder

Method

Soak raagi for 2-3 hrs,
Grind ragi to a fine paste with 1 ½cup water.Sieve ragi with the  fine siever,and discard the pulp.
Take out the thick and thin milk of coconut.
Add cardmom powder,almond and cashew nut powder to coconut milk.
Mix  jaggery  to the milk,and finally add ragi .
Take a non stick pan and pour in the mixture.
Lower the flame and keep stirring continuously, till the mixture reaches semi solid consistency .
Now grease the plate with ghee and pour the mixture onto the plate.garnish with cashew,almonds.
Allow it to cool completely.
Cute into cubes and serve.
