Stuffed Pomfret s in Green Masala(Goan style)


2 pomfrets. Cleaned n cut from harder side of the fish as shown in the pic
1 big onion finely chopped.
1 cup fresh corriander
1/4cup mint leaves
3 tbsp fresh grated coconut
Berry sized tamarind ball
2 cloves
2-3 green chillies
3 peppercorns
½ inch cinnamon
½ tsp cummin seeds
Salt as per taste
Turmeric,
Lemon juice
1 tsp red chilli powder
Oil for frying
semolina n rice powder (in equal proportion)

(Note:- if you dont want to use coconut  and tamarind then grind the paste using coconut vinegar )

Method:- Marinade pomfrets in lemon juice salt turmeric n Lil red chilli powder...for 10 minutes..Meanwhile grind all above mentioned ingredients to fine paste except onion . Now mix chopped onion  n salt with the paste .. Stuff the masala in two pockets of the fish. Heat the skillet,drizzle oil ...make dusting powder of semolina and rice powder on the plate....now dust the fish from both the side and shallow fry till crispy on lower flame.....serve hot with green salad. enjoy!
