Methi Chicken/Fenugreek Chicken


Methi Chicken.

Methi Chicken..is a combination of veggies and meat It is better to relish this delicacy in Rainy or winter season.



Ingredients:-

250 gm Chicken,
3-4 tbsp oil,
1tbsp finely chopped garlic,ginger each
2 big tomatoes finely chopped,
2 big onion finely chopped
2 tbsp Ginger garlic green chilli paste
handful of methi /fenugreek fresh leaves
3 Cloves,
1" cinnamon stick,
2 green cardamom,
1 bay leaf,
1 tbsp lemon juice.
1tbsp sugar
 1 cup coconut  milk,
salt as per taste,
1/2 tsp coriander, red chilli powder and turmeric each
Finely chopped corriander for garnishing
Few cashes

Method:-

Marinade chicken in gingergarlic green chilli , turmeric and lemon juice for half an hour.

Heat oil in heavy bottom pan.

Add all whole/Khada masala,cashews ,chopped garlic ginger, and onion.
when onion turn brown add tomatoes and methi leaves.
Add salt  and sugar to it..keep sauting
Add chicken.
Mix all spice powders in a bowl adding Lil water and add this mixed masala powders slurry paste to the chicken .
Mix everything  well and put the lid of the pan .
Cook the chicken for 30 min on low flame..when done add thick coconut milk mix well .
Keep stirring..till the water content evaporates and oil floats on the top..

Putoff the flame. . Garnish with chopped corriander..and cover the lid
Serve hot with dry rotis or naans
..enjoy!
